How to create mail box folder in squirrelmail

SquirrelMail is a popular open-source webmail client. To create a new mailbox folder in SquirrelMail, follow these steps:

Method 1: Using the Folder Management Interface

  1. Log in to your SquirrelMail account.
  2. Click on the "Folders" button in the top navigation menu.
  3. Click on the "Create Folder" button.
  4. Enter a name for your new folder in the "Folder name" field.
  5. Choose a parent folder from the "Parent folder" dropdown menu (optional).
  6. Click the "Create" button to create the new folder.

Method 2: Using the Compose Message Interface

  1. Log in to your SquirrelMail account.
  2. Click on the "Compose" button in the top navigation menu.
  3. In the "To" field, enter the email address of the folder you want to create (e.g., INBOX.new to create a new folder named "new" inside the INBOX folder).
  4. In the "Subject" field, enter a name for your new folder.
  5. Click the "Send" button to create the new folder.

Method 3: Using the IMAP Command

  1. Log in to your SquirrelMail account.
  2. Click on the "IMAP" button in the top navigation menu.
  3. In the "IMAP Command" field, enter the following command: CREATE <folder_name>
  4. Replace <folder_name> with the name of the folder you want to create.
  5. Click the "Execute" button to create the new folder.

Note: The IMAP command method requires you to have IMAP enabled on your email server and configured correctly in SquirrelMail.

After creating a new folder, you can move messages to it by dragging and dropping them or using the "Move to" feature in the message list.
