How to create mail box folder in squirrelmail
SquirrelMail is a popular open-source webmail client. To create a new mailbox folder in SquirrelMail, follow these steps:
Method 1: Using the Folder Management Interface
- Log in to your SquirrelMail account.
- Click on the "Folders" button in the top navigation menu.
- Click on the "Create Folder" button.
- Enter a name for your new folder in the "Folder name" field.
- Choose a parent folder from the "Parent folder" dropdown menu (optional).
- Click the "Create" button to create the new folder.
Method 2: Using the Compose Message Interface
- Log in to your SquirrelMail account.
- Click on the "Compose" button in the top navigation menu.
- In the "To" field, enter the email address of the folder you want to create (e.g.,
INBOX.new
to create a new folder named "new" inside the INBOX folder). - In the "Subject" field, enter a name for your new folder.
- Click the "Send" button to create the new folder.
Method 3: Using the IMAP Command
- Log in to your SquirrelMail account.
- Click on the "IMAP" button in the top navigation menu.
- In the "IMAP Command" field, enter the following command:
CREATE <folder_name>
- Replace
<folder_name>
with the name of the folder you want to create. - Click the "Execute" button to create the new folder.
Note: The IMAP command method requires you to have IMAP enabled on your email server and configured correctly in SquirrelMail.
After creating a new folder, you can move messages to it by dragging and dropping them or using the "Move to" feature in the message list.
