How to create mail groups in gmail

Creating mail groups in Gmail allows you to send emails to multiple recipients with a single address. Here's how to create a mail group in Gmail:

Method 1: Using Gmail's "New Contact" feature

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the "Contacts" icon in the top navigation bar.
  3. Click on the "New Contact" button.
  4. Enter the name of the group in the "Name" field.
  5. Add the email addresses of the group members in the "Email" field, separated by commas.
  6. Click on the "Save" button.

Method 2: Using Gmail's "Create group" feature

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the "Compose" button to start a new email.
  3. In the "To" field, type the name of the group you want to create, followed by a plus sign (+) and the group name. For example: "[email protected]".
  4. Gmail will prompt you to create a new contact. Click on the "Create group" button.
  5. Enter the name of the group and add the email addresses of the group members, separated by commas.
  6. Click on the "Save" button.

Method 3: Using Gmail's "Labels" feature

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the "Labels" icon in the top navigation bar.
  3. Click on the "New label" button.
  4. Enter the name of the group in the "Label name" field.
  5. Add the email addresses of the group members in the "Label members" field, separated by commas.
  6. Click on the "Save" button.

Once you've created a mail group, you can use it to send emails to all the group members by typing the group name in the "To" field. For example, if you created a group called "[email protected]", you can send an email to the entire team by typing "[email protected]" in the "To" field.

Note: When you create a mail group, Gmail will automatically add the group members to the "To" field when you send an email to the group. However, if you want to send an email to a specific group member and not the entire group, you'll need to remove the group member's email address from the "To" field and add it to the "CC" or "BCC" field instead.
