How to create mailing list in gmail app

Creating a mailing list in the Gmail app is a bit tricky, but I'll guide you through the process. Since Gmail doesn't have a built-in feature to create mailing lists, we'll use a workaround using labels and filters. Here's how:

Step 1: Create a label

  1. Open the Gmail app and go to the "Labels" tab.
  2. Tap the "+" icon to create a new label.
  3. Enter a name for your mailing list, e.g., "Marketing Team" or "Friends".
  4. Tap "Create" to save the label.

Step 2: Create a filter

  1. Go to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
  2. Tap the "Create a new filter" button.
  3. In the "From" field, enter the email address of the person you want to add to the mailing list.
  4. Tap "Create filter" to apply the filter.

Step 3: Apply the label to the filter

  1. In the "Create filter" window, scroll down to the "Apply the label" section.
  2. Select the label you created in Step 1 (e.g., "Marketing Team" or "Friends").
  3. Tap "Create filter" to apply the label to the filter.

Step 4: Add more email addresses to the mailing list

  1. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for each email address you want to add to the mailing list.

Step 5: Send emails to the mailing list

  1. When you want to send an email to the mailing list, compose a new message.
  2. In the "To" field, start typing the label name (e.g., "Marketing Team" or "Friends").
  3. Gmail will suggest the label as an option. Tap on it to select the label.
  4. The email will be sent to all email addresses associated with that label.
