How to delete a thread in mail in gmail
To delete a thread in Gmail, you can follow these steps:
Method 1: Delete a thread from the Inbox
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Open your Inbox and find the thread you want to delete.
- Click on the checkbox next to the first message in the thread to select the entire thread.
- Click on the "More" menu at the top of the page and select "Select all conversations in this search (or the current page)".
- Click on the "Trash" button at the top of the page.
Method 2: Delete a thread from the Thread view
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Open your Inbox and find the thread you want to delete.
- Click on the thread to open it in the Thread view.
- Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the thread.
- Select "Delete" from the dropdown menu.
Method 3: Delete a thread from the Search results
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Use the search bar at the top of the page to search for the thread you want to delete.
- Click on the "Search" button to display the search results.
- Select the thread you want to delete by clicking on the checkbox next to the first message in the thread.
- Click on the "Trash" button at the top of the page.
Note: When you delete a thread in Gmail, it will be moved to the Trash folder. If you want to permanently delete the thread, you'll need to empty the Trash folder.
