How to delete email in mac mail
To delete an email in Mac Mail, you can follow these steps:
Method 1: Delete an email from the Inbox
- Open Mac Mail and select the Inbox folder.
- Find the email you want to delete and select it by clicking on it.
- Press the "Delete" key on your keyboard or right-click (or control-click) on the email and select "Move to Trash" from the context menu.
- Alternatively, you can also click on the "Edit" menu and select "Delete" or use the keyboard shortcut "Command + Delete".
Method 2: Delete multiple emails at once
- Select multiple emails by holding down the "Command" key and clicking on each email you want to delete.
- Right-click (or control-click) on one of the selected emails and select "Move to Trash" from the context menu.
- Alternatively, you can also click on the "Edit" menu and select "Delete" or use the keyboard shortcut "Command + Delete".
Method 3: Delete an email from the Trash folder
- Open Mac Mail and select the "Trash" folder.
- Find the email you want to delete permanently and select it by clicking on it.
- Right-click (or control-click) on the email and select "Empty Trash" from the context menu.
- Alternatively, you can also click on the "Edit" menu and select "Empty Trash" or use the keyboard shortcut "Command + Shift + Delete".
Note: When you delete an email, it will be moved to the Trash folder. If you want to permanently delete an email, you need to empty the Trash folder.

- You can also use the "Shift" key to select a range of emails and then delete them.
