How to delete emails in all mail
To delete emails in Gmail, you can follow these steps:
Method 1: Selective deletion
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the "Inbox" tab to view your emails.
- Check the box next to the email(s) you want to delete.
- Click on the "Bulk actions" dropdown menu at the top of the page.
- Select "Delete" from the dropdown menu.
- Confirm that you want to delete the selected emails by clicking "OK" in the pop-up window.
Method 2: Mass deletion
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the "Inbox" tab to view your emails.
- Click on the "Select all conversations in the current search" checkbox at the top of the page.
- This will select all emails in your inbox.
- Click on the "Bulk actions" dropdown menu at the top of the page.
- Select "Delete" from the dropdown menu.
- Confirm that you want to delete all selected emails by clicking "OK" in the pop-up window.
Method 3: Using keyboard shortcuts
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Press the "c" key to select all conversations in the current search.
- Press the "d" key to delete the selected conversations.
Method 4: Using the Gmail search bar
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Type "is:unread" or "is:starred" in the search bar to select all unread or starred emails, respectively.
- Press the "Enter" key to execute the search.
- Click on the "Delete" button at the top of the page to delete the selected emails.
Note: When you delete an email in Gmail, it will be moved to the "Trash" folder. If you want to permanently delete the email, you'll need to empty the Trash folder.
