How to delete hotmail account
To delete a Hotmail account, you'll need to follow these steps:
Method 1: Delete account through Microsoft Account settings
- Sign in to your Hotmail account on the Microsoft website (www.outlook.com).
- Click on your profile picture or initials in the top right corner, then select "View account" from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the "Account" section and click on "Manage your account settings".
- Click on "Delete account" at the bottom of the page.
- Enter your password to confirm you want to delete the account.
- Click "Delete account" to confirm.
Method 2: Delete account through Outlook.com
- Sign in to your Hotmail account on the Outlook.com website (www.outlook.com).
- Click on the gear icon in the top right corner, then select "Settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the "Account" section and click on "Delete account".
- Enter your password to confirm you want to delete the account.
- Click "Delete account" to confirm.
Method 3: Delete account through Microsoft Support
- Go to the Microsoft Support website (www.support.microsoft.com).
- Click on "Contact Support" at the top of the page.
- Select "Account" as the topic and then "Delete my account" as the subtopic.
- Fill out the form with your account information and reason for deleting the account.
- Click "Submit" to request account deletion.
Important notes:
- Before deleting your account, make sure you have saved any important emails or contacts, as they will be permanently deleted along with the account.
- If you have a Microsoft account associated with your Hotmail account, you will need to delete that account separately.
- Deleting your Hotmail account will also delete any associated services, such as Outlook.com, OneDrive, or Skype.
