How to delete mail from thunderbird
To delete emails from Thunderbird, you can follow these steps:
Method 1: Delete individual emails
- Open Thunderbird and select the email account you want to delete emails from.
- Click on the email folder that contains the emails you want to delete (e.g., Inbox, Sent, Drafts, etc.).
- Select the email(s) you want to delete by checking the box next to each email.
- Right-click on the selected email(s) and choose "Delete" from the context menu.
- Confirm that you want to delete the email(s) by clicking "OK" in the pop-up dialog box.
Method 2: Delete multiple emails at once
- Open Thunderbird and select the email account you want to delete emails from.
- Click on the email folder that contains the emails you want to delete (e.g., Inbox, Sent, Drafts, etc.).
- Select all the emails you want to delete by pressing Ctrl+A (Windows) or Command+A (Mac).
- Right-click on the selected emails and choose "Delete" from the context menu.
- Confirm that you want to delete the email(s) by clicking "OK" in the pop-up dialog box.
Method 3: Delete all emails in a folder
- Open Thunderbird and select the email account you want to delete emails from.
- Click on the email folder that contains the emails you want to delete (e.g., Inbox, Sent, Drafts, etc.).
- Right-click on the folder and choose "Empty Folder" from the context menu.
- Confirm that you want to delete all emails in the folder by clicking "OK" in the pop-up dialog box.
Method 4: Delete emails using the keyboard shortcut
- Open Thunderbird and select the email account you want to delete emails from.
- Click on the email folder that contains the emails you want to delete (e.g., Inbox, Sent, Drafts, etc.).
- Press the "Delete" key on your keyboard to delete the currently selected email.
- Repeat step 3 for each email you want to delete.
Note: When you delete an email, it will be moved to the "Trash" folder by default. You can change this behavior by going to Tools > Account Settings > Server Settings and selecting a different action for deleted emails.
