How to delete sending mail in outlook
To delete a sent email in Outlook, you can follow these steps:
Method 1: Delete sent email from the Sent Items folder
- Open Outlook and navigate to the Sent Items folder. You can do this by clicking on the Sent Items folder in the Navigation Pane or by pressing Ctrl + Shift + S.
- Find the sent email you want to delete and select it by clicking on it.
- Right-click on the selected email and choose Delete from the context menu.
- Confirm that you want to delete the email by clicking OK in the pop-up dialog box.
Method 2: Delete sent email from the Inbox
- Open Outlook and navigate to your Inbox.
- Find the sent email you want to delete and select it by clicking on it.
- Right-click on the selected email and choose Move to > Deleted Items.
- Confirm that you want to move the email to the Deleted Items folder by clicking OK in the pop-up dialog box.
- To permanently delete the email, go to the Deleted Items folder and select the email you want to delete.
- Right-click on the selected email and choose Delete from the context menu.
- Confirm that you want to permanently delete the email by clicking OK in the pop-up dialog box.
Method 3: Use the Quick Steps feature
- Open Outlook and navigate to your Inbox.
- Find the sent email you want to delete and select it by clicking on it.
- Go to the Home tab in the ribbon and click on the Quick Steps button.
- Click on New Quick Step and then select Move to > Deleted Items.
- Name the quick step (e.g., "Delete Sent Email") and click OK.
- The email will be moved to the Deleted Items folder. To permanently delete the email, follow the same steps as Method 2.
Note: If you're using Outlook 2010 or earlier, you may need to use the File > Delete option instead of the Delete button in the context menu.
