How to delete social mails in outlook

To delete social media notifications or "social mails" in Outlook, you can follow these steps:

Method 1: Delete individual social mail

  1. Open Outlook and go to your inbox.
  2. Find the social mail you want to delete (e.g., a Facebook or Twitter notification).
  3. Right-click on the email and select "Delete" or press the "Delete" key on your keyboard.
  4. Confirm that you want to delete the email by clicking "OK" in the pop-up window.

Method 2: Delete all social mails at once

  1. Open Outlook and go to your inbox.
  2. Click on the "View" tab in the ribbon.
  3. In the "View" tab, click on "View Settings" (or press "Ctrl + Shift + V" on Windows or "Cmd + Shift + V" on Mac).
  4. In the "View Settings" window, click on the "Filters" tab.
  5. Click on the "New" button to create a new filter.
  6. In the "Filter Criteria" window, select "From" and then select "contains" from the dropdown menu.
  7. In the "contains" field, enter the email address of the social media account (e.g., [email protected]).
  8. Click "OK" to apply the filter.
  9. In the "Filtered Items" window, select all the social mails by pressing "Ctrl + A" (Windows) or "Cmd + A" (Mac).
  10. Right-click on the selected emails and select "Delete" or press the "Delete" key on your keyboard.
  11. Confirm that you want to delete the emails by clicking "OK" in the pop-up window.

Method 3: Disable social mail notifications in Outlook

  1. Open Outlook and go to your account settings (File > Account Settings > Account Settings).
  2. Click on the "Social" tab.
  3. Uncheck the box next to "Enable social notifications" to disable social mail notifications.
  4. Click "OK" to save your changes.

Note: Disabling social mail notifications will prevent new social mail from being delivered to your inbox, but it will not delete existing social mails. You can still delete individual social mails using Method 1 or Method 2.
