How to delete unread mail in gmail
There are a few ways to delete unread mail in Gmail:
Method 1: Using the "Select all" checkbox
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the "Inbox" tab to view your unread emails.
- Check the box next to the first unread email to select it.
- Hold down the Shift key and click on the last unread email to select all unread emails.
- Click on the "Bulk actions" dropdown menu at the top of the page and select "Mark as read" or "Delete forever".
Method 2: Using the "Select all conversations" button
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the "Inbox" tab to view your unread emails.
- Click on the "Select all conversations" button at the top of the page.

Method 3: Using the "Search" function
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the "Search" button at the top of the page.
- Type "is:unread" in the search bar to find all unread emails.
- Click on the "Search" button.
- Check the box next to the first unread email to select it.
- Hold down the Shift key and click on the last unread email to select all unread emails.
- Click on the "Bulk actions" dropdown menu at the top of the page and select "Mark as read" or "Delete forever".
Method 4: Using a keyboard shortcut
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Press the "c" key to select all conversations (including unread emails).
- Press the "Shift + Delete" keys to mark all selected conversations as read or delete them.
Note: If you want to delete all unread emails in a specific label or folder, you can use the "Search" function and modify the search query accordingly. For example, "is:unread label:important" will find all unread emails in the "Important" label.
