How to delete unread mails in gmail

There are a few ways to delete unread emails in Gmail:

Method 1: Using the Gmail Inbox

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the "Inbox" tab.
  3. Click on the "Unread" label at the top of the page.
  4. Check the box next to each unread email you want to delete.
  5. Click on the "Bulk actions" dropdown menu and select "Delete forever".

Method 2: Using the Gmail Search Bar

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Type "is:unread" in the search bar and press Enter.
  3. This will show you all your unread emails.
  4. Check the box next to each unread email you want to delete.
  5. Click on the "Bulk actions" dropdown menu and select "Delete forever".

Method 3: Using Gmail's Filter Feature

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "See all settings".
  3. Click on the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
  4. Click on the "Create a new filter" button.
  5. In the "From" field, type "is:unread" and press Enter.
  6. Click on the "Create filter" button.
  7. Select "Delete it" as the action.
  8. Click on the "Create" button.

Method 4: Using Gmail's Keyboard Shortcut

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Press the "u" key on your keyboard to select all unread emails.
  3. Press the "d" key on your keyboard to delete the selected emails.

Note: When you delete an email in Gmail, it is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Make sure you're deleting the correct emails before confirming the deletion.
