How to edit mail id in gmail

Editing an email address in Gmail is a relatively straightforward process. Here are the steps:

Method 1: Edit Email Address in Gmail Settings

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon () in the upper right corner of the page.
  3. Select "See all settings" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Scroll down to the "Accounts and Import" tab.
  5. Click on "Edit" next to "Send mail as".
  6. Enter the new email address you want to use in the "Send mail as" field.

Method 2: Edit Email Address in Gmail Profile

Note: If you're trying to change the primary email address associated with your Google account, you'll need to follow these steps:

  5. Click "Save" at the bottom of the page.

Important: Changing your email address in Gmail will not automatically update your email address in other Google services, such as Google Drive, Google Photos, or Google Calendar. You'll need to update those services separately.
