How to edit usps hold mail
USPS (United States Postal Service) offers a service called "Hold Mail" that allows you to temporarily suspend mail delivery to your address while you're away. Here's how to edit or cancel a hold mail request:
Editing a Hold Mail Request:
- Go to the USPS website (www.usps.com) and click on "Hold Mail" under the "Mail & Ship" tab.
- Enter your mailing address and click "Search".
- Click on the "Edit" button next to your hold mail request.
- Update the dates for which you want to hold your mail. You can choose to hold mail for a specific date range or until a specific date.
- Click "Save Changes" to update your hold mail request.
Canceling a Hold Mail Request:
- Go to the USPS website (www.usps.com) and click on "Hold Mail" under the "Mail & Ship" tab.
- Enter your mailing address and click "Search".
- Click on the "Cancel" button next to your hold mail request.
- Confirm that you want to cancel the hold mail request by clicking "Yes".
Additional Tips:
- You can also edit or cancel a hold mail request by contacting your local post office or calling the USPS Customer Service number at 1-800-275-8777.
- If you're holding mail for an extended period, you may want to consider having your mail forwarded to a different address using the USPS "Forward Mail" service.
- Keep in mind that hold mail requests can only be made for a maximum of 30 days. If you need to hold mail for a longer period, you'll need to make multiple requests.
