How to empty trash in mac mail

To empty the trash in Mac Mail, follow these steps:

  1. Open Mac Mail.
  2. Click on the "Mail" menu at the top of the screen.
  3. Select "Empty Trash" from the drop-down menu.

Alternatively, you can also use the keyboard shortcut:

This will permanently delete all messages in the Trash folder.

Note: If you want to empty the trash for a specific account only, make sure that account is selected in the Mail sidebar before emptying the trash.

Also, if you want to recover a deleted message, you can do so by going to the "Trash" folder and selecting the message you want to recover. Right-click (or control-click) on the message and select "Move to Inbox" to move it back to your inbox.

It's worth noting that when you empty the trash, the messages are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. So, make sure you're sure you want to delete them before doing so!
