How to enable read receipt in windows live mail

A blast from the past! Windows Live Mail is an older email client, but I'll still help you with enabling read receipts.

To enable read receipts in Windows Live Mail:

  1. Open Windows Live Mail and go to the "Tools" menu.
  2. Click on "Options" (or press Ctrl + Shift + O).
  3. In the "Options" window, click on the "Compose" tab.
  4. Under "Read receipts", select the checkbox next to "Request read receipt for this message".
  5. You can also choose to "Request read receipt for all messages" by selecting the checkbox next to "Always request read receipt for new messages".
  6. Click "OK" to save your changes.

Now, when you send an email, the recipient will receive a read receipt notification if they open the email. Note that the recipient's email client must also be configured to send read receipts for this to work.

Alternatively, you can also enable read receipts for a specific email by:

  1. Composing a new email or opening an existing one.
  2. Clicking on the "Options" button in the "Message" tab.
  3. Selecting "Request read receipt" from the dropdown menu.

Keep in mind that some email providers or clients may not support read receipts, so it's always a good idea to check with the recipient before sending an email with a read receipt request.
