How to filter mails by date google
To filter emails by date in Gmail, you can use the following methods:
Method 1: Using the Search Bar
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the search bar at the top of the page.
- Type the following search query:
after:<date>
orbefore:<date>
.
Replace <date>
with the date you want to filter by. For example:
after:2022/01/01
to filter emails sent after January 1, 2022.before:2022/01/01
to filter emails sent before January 1, 2022.
You can also use the following formats:
after:yesterday
to filter emails sent yesterday.after:today
to filter emails sent today.after:tomorrow
to filter emails sent tomorrow.before:yesterday
to filter emails sent before yesterday.before:today
to filter emails sent before today.before:tomorrow
to filter emails sent before tomorrow.
Method 2: Using the Filter and Forwarding Options
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the page.
- Select "See all settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Click on the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
- Click on the "Create a new filter" button.
- In the "From" field, enter
@
(this will apply the filter to all emails). - In the "Has the words" field, enter the date you want to filter by. For example:
2022/01/01
. - Click on the "Create filter" button.
- Select the action you want to take with the filtered emails, such as "Apply the label" or "Delete it".
Method 3: Using Labels
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the label icon (looks like a tag) in the upper right corner of the page.
- Click on "New label" and enter a name for the label (e.g. "2022-01-01").
- Click on the "Create" button.
- Go back to your inbox and select the emails you want to label.
- Right-click on the selected emails and select "Apply label" > "2022-01-01".
Note: You can also use the "Quick labels" feature to quickly apply a label to a group of emails. To do this, select the emails, right-click on them, and select "Quick labels" > "2022-01-01".
