How to forward mail ingmail
Forwarding mail from Gmail is a straightforward process. Here are the steps:
Method 1: Forwarding mail to another Gmail address
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "See all settings."
- Go to the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab.
- Click on "Add a forwarding address."
- Enter the email address you want to forward your mail to (another Gmail address).
- Click "Next."
- Enter the verification code sent to your email address.
- Click "Add" to confirm.
Method 2: Forwarding mail to a non-Gmail address
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner and select "See all settings."
- Go to the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab.
- Click on "Add a forwarding address."
- Enter the email address you want to forward your mail to (a non-Gmail address).
- Click "Next."
- Enter the verification code sent to your email address.
- Click "Add" to confirm.
Note: When forwarding mail to a non-Gmail address, you'll need to verify the address by clicking on a link sent to that address. This is a security measure to prevent spam and phishing attacks.
Additional settings:
- You can choose to forward all incoming mail or only specific messages.
- You can also set up filters to forward specific messages based on keywords, sender, or recipient.
- To stop forwarding mail, go to the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab and click on "Remove" next to the forwarding address.
