How to get mail that went to archive

The frustration of missing emails that got archived!

If you're using Gmail, here are some steps to help you recover archived emails:

  1. Search for archived emails: Use the search bar at the top of your Gmail inbox to search for keywords related to the email you're looking for. You can use the "has:archive" operator to search only in the archive folder. For example: has:archive "keyword".
  2. Check your archive folder: Click on the "More" menu at the top of your inbox and select "Archive" to view all archived emails. You can also use the keyboard shortcut "Shift + e" to quickly access the archive folder.
  3. Use the "Show search results" button: If you've searched for an email and it's not showing up in your inbox, click on the "Show search results" button at the top of the search results page. This will show you all emails that match your search query, including archived ones.
  4. Use the "Restore" feature: If you find an archived email you want to restore, click on the three vertical dots next to the email and select "Restore". This will move the email back to your inbox.
