How to get rid of mail app on mac

The Mail app on Mac! While it's a convenient way to manage your emails, sometimes you might want to get rid of it. Here are the steps to uninstall or remove the Mail app on a Mac:

Method 1: Uninstall Mail app using the App Store

  1. Open the App Store on your Mac.
  2. Click on the "Updates" tab at the top of the window.
  3. Look for "Mail" in the list of available updates.
  4. Click the "Uninstall" button next to Mail.
  5. Confirm that you want to uninstall the app by clicking "Uninstall" again.

Method 2: Remove Mail app using the Finder

  1. Open the Finder on your Mac.
  2. Click on the "Applications" folder in the sidebar.
  3. Find the "Mail" app and drag it to the "Trash" icon in the dock.
  4. Alternatively, you can right-click (or control-click) on the Mail app and select "Move to Trash" from the context menu.
  5. Empty the Trash by right-clicking on the Trash icon and selecting "Empty Trash" or by using the keyboard shortcut Command + Shift + Delete.

Method 3: Remove Mail app using Terminal

  1. Open the Terminal app on your Mac. You can find it in the Applications/Utilities folder or use Spotlight to search for it.
