How to hide mail recipients in outlook from one anoher
In Outlook, you can hide the recipients of an email from each other by using the "Bcc" (Blind Carbon Copy) field. Here's how:
Method 1: Using the Bcc field in the email composition window
- Compose a new email or reply to an existing one.
- In the "To" field, enter the email address of the person you want to send the email to.
- In the "Bcc" field, enter the email addresses of the people you want to hide from each other. You can add multiple addresses by separating them with semicolons (;).
- Make sure to keep the "To" field empty, as this will prevent the recipients from seeing each other's email addresses.
- Send the email as usual.
Method 2: Using the "Bcc" button in the "Options" tab
- Compose a new email or reply to an existing one.
- Click on the "Options" tab in the ribbon.
- Click on the "Bcc" button in the "More Options" group.
- Enter the email addresses of the people you want to hide from each other in the "Bcc" field.
- Click "OK" to close the "Bcc" dialog box.
- Send the email as usual.
Method 3: Using a third-party add-in
There are several third-party add-ins available that can help you hide recipients from each other in Outlook. Some popular options include:
- Bcc Protector: This add-in allows you to hide recipients from each other by using the Bcc field.
- Hide Recipients: This add-in provides a simple way to hide recipients from each other by using a button in the ribbon.
- Outlook Bcc: This add-in allows you to hide recipients from each other by using the Bcc field and provides additional features such as automatic Bccing and customizable Bcc fields.
Important notes:
- When you use the Bcc field, the recipients will not be able to see each other's email addresses, but they will still be able to see the email address of the person who sent the email (i.e., you).
- If you need to send an email to multiple people and hide their email addresses from each other, you can use the Bcc field to achieve this.
- Some email providers or organizations may have policies that prohibit the use of Bcc fields or may have specific requirements for using them. Be sure to check with your email provider or organization before using this feature.
