How to hide mails on gmail

The art of hiding emails on Gmail!

There are a few ways to hide or archive emails on Gmail, depending on your needs. Here are some methods:

Method 1: Archive emails

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Select the emails you want to hide by checking the boxes next to them.
  3. Click on the "Archive" button (represented by a box with a downward arrow) at the top of the page.
  4. The emails will be moved to your "All Mail" label, where they will be hidden from your inbox.

Method 2: Use the "Mark as read" feature

  1. Select the emails you want to hide by checking the boxes next to them.
  2. Click on the "Mark as read" button (represented by a checkmark) at the top of the page.
  3. The emails will be marked as read, which will hide them from your inbox.

Method 3: Use labels

  1. Create a new label by clicking on the "Labels" button at the top of the page.
  2. Name the label something like "Hidden" or "Archived".
  3. Select the emails you want to hide by checking the boxes next to them.
  4. Click on the "Apply label" button and select the label you just created.
  5. The emails will be moved to the label, where they will be hidden from your inbox.

Method 4: Use filters

  1. Go to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" page by clicking on the gear icon at the top right of the page and selecting "See all settings".
  2. Click on the "Filters" tab.
  3. Create a new filter by clicking on the "Create a new filter" button.
  4. Set the filter to apply to the emails you want to hide.
  5. Choose the action you want to take, such as "Apply the label" and select the label you created in Method 3.
  6. Click on the "Create" button to save the filter.

Method 5: Use the "Snooze" feature

  1. Select the emails you want to hide by checking the boxes next to them.
  2. Click on the "Snooze" button (represented by a clock) at the top of the page.
  3. Choose a time period to snooze the emails for, such as "Later today" or "Tomorrow".
  4. The emails will be hidden from your inbox until the specified time period has passed.

Remember that hiding emails on Gmail doesn't delete them permanently. They will still be stored in your account and can be recovered if needed.
