How to hide recipients in apple mail

In Apple Mail, you can hide the recipients' names and email addresses in the "To" and "CC" fields by using a feature called "BCC" (Blind Carbon Copy). Here's how:

Method 1: Using the BCC field

  1. Compose a new email in Apple Mail.
  2. In the "To" field, enter the email addresses of the recipients you want to hide.
  3. Click on the "BCC" field at the bottom of the window.
  4. Enter the email addresses of the recipients you want to hide in the "BCC" field.
  5. The recipients' names and email addresses will not be visible in the "To" field.

Method 2: Using the "Hide Recipients" option

  1. Compose a new email in Apple Mail.
  2. In the "To" field, enter the email addresses of the recipients you want to hide.
  3. Click on the "File" menu and select "Hide Recipients" (or use the keyboard shortcut Command + Shift + H).
  4. The recipients' names and email addresses will be hidden, and only the sender's email address will be visible.

Note: When you use the "BCC" field or the "Hide Recipients" option, the recipients will still receive the email, but their email addresses will not be visible to others.

Additional tip: If you want to send an email to multiple recipients without revealing their email addresses, you can use the "BCC" field and enter all the email addresses there. This way, only the sender's email address will be visible in the "From" field.
