How to imessage and mail email address
To send an iMessage and an email to the same recipient, you'll need to know their email address and phone number. Here's how:
Method 1: Using the Messages app
- Open the Messages app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap the "Compose" button (looks like a pencil) in the top-right corner.
- Enter the recipient's phone number or email address in the "To" field.
- Type your message in the text field.
- Tap the "Send" button (looks like a blue arrow).
If the recipient has an iPhone or iPad, they'll receive the message as an iMessage. If they don't have an Apple device, they'll receive the message as an SMS/MMS.
Method 2: Using the Mail app
- Open the Mail app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap the "Compose" button (looks like a pencil) in the top-right corner.
- Enter the recipient's email address in the "To" field.
- Type your message in the text field.
- Tap the "Send" button (looks like a blue arrow).
The recipient will receive the email in their inbox.
Tips:
- Make sure you have the recipient's correct email address and phone number.
- If you're sending a message to someone who doesn't have an Apple device, they might not receive the iMessage, but they'll still receive the SMS/MMS.
- You can also use the "Share Contact" feature in the Contacts app to easily switch between sending an iMessage and an email to the same contact.
I hope that helps!
