How to install aol mail on windows 10
A blast from the past! Installing AOL Mail on Windows 10 is a bit more involved than it used to be, but I'll guide you through the process.
Method 1: Using the AOL Desktop Gold Software
- Go to the AOL website (www.aol.com) and click on "Sign In" at the top right corner.
- Click on "Download AOL Desktop Gold" and follow the prompts to download and install the software.
- Once installed, launch AOL Desktop Gold and sign in with your AOL email address and password.
- You'll be prompted to set up your email account. Follow the prompts to configure your account settings.
Method 2: Using the AOL Mail Web App
- Open a web browser (e.g., Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox) and go to mail.aol.com.
- Click on "Sign In" at the top right corner and enter your AOL email address and password.
- You'll be taken to your AOL Mail inbox. You can use the web app to access your email, but you won't have the same features as the desktop software.
Additional Steps:
- If you're using Method 1, you may need to configure your email client settings to use AOL Mail. To do this:
- Open the Start menu and search for "Mail" (or "Windows Mail" if you're using Windows 10).
- Click on "Mail" to open the Mail app.
- Click on "Settings" (or "Options" in older versions of Windows 10).
- Click on "Accounts" and then "Add an account".
- Select "Other account" and enter your AOL email address and password.
- Follow the prompts to configure your account settings.
- If you're using Method 2, you can also set up AOL Mail as a default email client on your Windows 10 device. To do this:
- Open the Start menu and search for "Default apps".
- Click on "Default apps" to open the Settings app.
- Click on "Email" and select "AOL Mail" as your default email client.
That's it! You should now be able to access your AOL Mail account on your Windows 10 device using either method.
