How to link a previous mail in email
There are a few ways to link a previous email in a new email:
Method 1: Using the "Reply" feature

- In the body of the email, click on the "Reply" button.

- Click "Reply" to send the new email with the link to the previous email.
Method 2: Using the "Forward" feature
- Compose a new email and type the recipient's email address.
- In the body of the email, click on the "Forward" button.
- In the "Forward" window, select the previous email you want to link to from the "Previous conversations" dropdown menu.
- Click "Forward" to send the new email with the link to the previous email.
Method 3: Using the "Insert link" feature
- Compose a new email and type the recipient's email address.
- In the body of the email, type the text you want to link to the previous email (e.g., "See my previous email for more details").
- Highlight the text you want to link.
- Click on the "Insert link" button (usually represented by a chain icon).
- In the "Insert link" window, enter the URL of the previous email (you can usually find this by clicking on the "Forward" button and copying the URL from the address bar).
- Click "Insert" to add the link to the email.
Method 4: Using a third-party email client or plugin
Some email clients, such as Gmail or Outlook, offer plugins or add-ons that allow you to link to previous emails. For example, you can use the "Link to previous email" feature in Gmail's "Compose" window.
Tips:
- Make sure you have the necessary permissions to link to previous emails, as some email providers may have restrictions on this feature.
- Be mindful of email thread length and avoid linking to too many previous emails, as this can make the email chain difficult to follow.
- Consider using a summary or brief description of the previous email in the new email, rather than linking to the entire email, to help the recipient quickly understand the context.
