How to loop your manager in mail

There are a few ways to loop your manager in an email, depending on the email client or platform you're using. Here are a few methods:

Method 1: Using CC (Carbon Copy)

  1. Compose a new email or reply to an existing one.
  2. In the "To" field, enter the recipient's email address (e.g., your manager's email).
  3. In the "CC" field, enter your manager's email address (or multiple email addresses, separated by commas).
  4. The email will be sent to the original recipient, and a copy will also be sent to your manager (and any other email addresses listed in the CC field).

Method 2: Using BCC (Blind Carbon Copy)

  1. Compose a new email or reply to an existing one.
  2. In the "To" field, enter the recipient's email address (e.g., your manager's email).
  3. In the "BCC" field, enter your manager's email address (or multiple email addresses, separated by commas).
  4. The email will be sent to the original recipient, and a copy will also be sent to your manager (and any other email addresses listed in the BCC field), but their email addresses will not be visible to the original recipient.

Method 3: Using a Reply-All

  1. Compose a new email or reply to an existing one.
  2. In the "To" field, enter the recipient's email address (e.g., your manager's email).
  3. Check the "Reply-All" box (if available) or use the keyboard shortcut (e.g., Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows or Command+Shift+R on Mac).
  4. The email will be sent to all recipients who received the original email, including your manager.

Method 4: Using a Group Email Address

  1. If your company has a group email address for your manager or team, you can use that address in the "To" field.
  2. This method is useful if you need to send an email to multiple people, including your manager, and want to avoid having to enter multiple email addresses.

Remember to use these methods judiciously and only when necessary. Looping your manager in an email can be useful for keeping them informed, but it can also be overwhelming and create unnecessary noise.
