To make an email account inactive in Apple Mail, you can follow these steps:
Method 1: Delete the account
- Open Apple Mail on your Mac or iOS device.
- Click on the "Mail" menu and select "Preferences" (on Mac) or "Settings" (on iOS).
- Click on the "Accounts" tab (on Mac) or "Accounts & Passwords" tab (on iOS).
- Select the email account you want to make inactive from the list of accounts.
- Click the "Delete" button (on Mac) or "Edit" button (on iOS) next to the account.
- Confirm that you want to delete the account by clicking "Delete" (on Mac) or "Remove" (on iOS).
