How to make gmail default to all mail

To make Gmail default to "All Mail" instead of "Inbox" when you log in, you can follow these steps:

Method 1: Using Gmail Settings

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon () in the upper right corner of the page.
  3. Select "See all settings" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Go to the "General" tab.
  5. Scroll down to the "Checking email" section.
  6. Click on the dropdown menu next to "Default sort order" and select "All Mail".
  7. Click on the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page.

Method 2: Using Gmail URL

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Go to the URL: https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#all
  3. This will take you directly to the "All Mail" view.
  4. To make this the default view, bookmark this URL or add it to your browser's favorites.

Method 3: Using Chrome Browser Extension

  1. Install the "Gmail All Mail" Chrome browser extension from the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Once installed, click on the extension icon in the top right corner of the Chrome browser.
  3. Select "Make All Mail the default view" from the dropdown menu.
  4. The extension will automatically redirect you to the "All Mail" view whenever you log in to Gmail.

Note: These methods will only change the default view for your current browser session. If you want to make "All Mail" the default view for all future sessions, you may need to use a browser extension or modify your browser's settings.
