How to make mail tags in gmail

Mail tags in Gmail are a way to categorize and label your emails so you can quickly find and manage them. Here's how to create and use mail tags in Gmail:

Creating a new mail tag:

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the page and select "See all settings."
  3. Go to the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
  4. Click on the "Create a new filter" button.
  5. Enter a name for your filter (this will be the name of your mail tag) and a description (optional).
  6. Click on the "Create" button.

Applying a mail tag to an email:

  1. Open the email you want to apply the mail tag to.
  2. Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the email.
  3. Select "Apply label" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Choose the mail tag you created from the list of available labels.
  5. Click on the "Apply" button.

Managing mail tags:

  1. To view all emails with a specific mail tag, click on the label name in the left sidebar.
