How to mark all unread mail as read in gmail

There are a few ways to mark all unread mail as read in Gmail:

Method 1: Using the "Mark as read" button

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the "Inbox" tab to view your unread emails.
  3. Click on the "Select all conversations in the current search results" checkbox at the top left corner of the page.
  4. Click on the "Mark as read" button at the top of the page.

Method 2: Using keyboard shortcut

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Press the "Ctrl + A" keys on your keyboard to select all unread emails.
  3. Press the "Ctrl + Shift + R" keys on your keyboard to mark all selected emails as read.

Method 3: Using the Gmail search operator

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Type the following search query in the search bar: is:unread
  3. Press Enter to execute the search.
  4. Click on the "Mark all as read" button at the top of the page.

Method 4: Using the Gmail Labs feature

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon at the top right corner of the page and select "See all settings".
  3. Scroll down to the "Labs" tab and enable the "Mark as read" feature.
  4. Click on the "Save Changes" button.
  5. Go back to your Inbox and click on the "Select all conversations in the current search results" checkbox at the top left corner of the page.
  6. Click on the "Mark as read" button at the top of the page.

Note: The "Mark as read" feature is only available in the Gmail web interface and not in the mobile app.
