How to mark mail as junk
The eternal struggle against spam!
To mark an email as junk or spam, you can follow these steps:
Gmail (Web)
- Open your Gmail account and go to the Inbox.
- Find the email you want to mark as junk.
- Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the email.
- Select "Mark as spam" from the dropdown menu.
Gmail (Mobile App)
- Open your Gmail app and go to the Inbox.
- Find the email you want to mark as junk.
- Long-press on the email to open the menu.
- Tap "Report spam" from the menu.
Outlook (Web)
- Open your Outlook account and go to the Inbox.
- Find the email you want to mark as junk.
- Click on the "Junk" button at the top of the email.
- Select "Mark as Junk" from the dropdown menu.
Outlook (Mobile App)
- Open your Outlook app and go to the Inbox.
- Find the email you want to mark as junk.
- Long-press on the email to open the menu.
- Tap "Junk" from the menu.
Yahoo Mail
- Open your Yahoo Mail account and go to the Inbox.
- Find the email you want to mark as junk.
- Click on the "Junk" button at the top of the email.
- Select "Mark as Junk" from the dropdown menu.
Other Email Providers
If you're using a different email provider, such as AOL, Hotmail, or ProtonMail, you can usually find the "Mark as spam" or "Report spam" option in the email's menu or by right-clicking on the email.
Remember, marking an email as junk helps your email provider's algorithms learn to recognize and filter out similar spam emails in the future.
