How to mark mails as read in gmail

There are several ways to mark emails as read in Gmail:

Method 1: Using the "Mark as read" button

  1. Open the email you want to mark as read.
  2. Click on the checkbox next to the email subject.
  3. Click on the "Mark as read" button at the top of the page.

Method 2: Using the keyboard shortcut

  1. Open the email you want to mark as read.
  2. Press the "r" key on your keyboard.

Method 3: Using the "Select all" feature

  1. Open the inbox or a specific label/folder.
  2. Check the box at the top of the page to select all emails.
  3. Click on the "Mark as read" button at the top of the page.

Method 4: Using the "Batch actions" feature

  1. Open the inbox or a specific label/folder.
  2. Select multiple emails by checking the boxes next to each email.
  3. Click on the "More" menu at the top of the page.
  4. Select "Batch actions" from the dropdown menu.
  5. Choose "Mark as read" from the batch actions menu.

Method 5: Using the "Quick actions" feature

  1. Open the inbox or a specific label/folder.
  2. Click on the three vertical dots next to the email subject.
  3. Select "Quick actions" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Choose "Mark as read" from the quick actions menu.

Note: You can also use these methods to mark multiple emails as read at once. Simply select the emails you want to mark as read and then use one of the above methods.
