How to mute the mails on gmail

There are a few ways to mute emails on Gmail:

Method 1: Mute a specific conversation

  1. Open the conversation you want to mute.
  2. Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the conversation.
  3. Select "Mute" from the dropdown menu.

Method 2: Mute a specific sender

  1. Open the email from the sender you want to mute.
  2. Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the email.
  3. Select "Mute" from the dropdown menu.

Method 3: Mute a specific label

  1. Go to the Labels tab in your Gmail settings.
  2. Click on the label you want to mute.
  3. Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the label.
  4. Select "Mute" from the dropdown menu.

Method 4: Mute all emails from a specific sender

  1. Open the email from the sender you want to mute.
  2. Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the email.
  3. Select "Filter messages like this" from the dropdown menu.
  4. In the filter window, select "Apply the label" and choose a label (e.g. "Muted").
  5. Click "Create filter".

Method 5: Use a filter

  1. Go to the Filters and Blocked Addresses tab in your Gmail settings.
  2. Click on "Create a new filter".
  3. Enter the criteria for the filter (e.g. "From: [sender's email]").
  4. Select "Apply the label" and choose a label (e.g. "Muted").
  5. Click "Create filter".

Once you've muted an email or conversation, you won't receive notifications for new emails from that sender or with that label. However, you can still access the muted emails by searching for the label or sender.
