How to open a word doc in mail with notepad

I think there may be a bit of confusion here!

You can't directly open a Word document (.docx) in Notepad, as Notepad is a text editor designed for editing plain text files, not Microsoft Word documents.

However, you can try the following workarounds:

  1. Save the Word document as a text file: You can save the Word document as a text file (.txt) and then open it in Notepad. To do this, open the Word document, go to "File" > "Save As", select "Text Files" as the file type, and choose a location to save the file. Then, you can open the text file in Notepad.
  2. Use a third-party text editor: There are third-party text editors, such as Notepad++ or Sublime Text, that can open and edit Word documents. These editors often have features that allow you to open and edit various file types, including Word documents.
  3. Use an online converter: You can use an online converter, such as Online-Convert.com or SmallPDF.com, to convert your Word document to a text file or other formats that can be opened in Notepad.

Keep in mind that when you open a Word document in Notepad, you'll only see the plain text content of the document, without any formatting or layout information. If you need to edit the document's content, you may want to use a dedicated word processing software like Microsoft Word or Google Docs instead.
