How to play video from mails in gmail

Gmail doesn't have a built-in feature to play videos directly from the email. However, there are a few workarounds to play videos sent to you via email:

Method 1: Download and play the video

  1. Open the email with the video attachment.
  2. Click on the attachment to download it to your computer.
  3. Once downloaded, you can play the video using a media player like VLC, QuickTime, or Windows Media Player.

Method 2: Use a browser extension

  1. Install a browser extension like Video Downloader Professional (for Chrome) or Video Downloader (for Firefox).
  2. Open the email with the video attachment.
  3. Click on the extension's icon in your browser toolbar.
  4. Select the video attachment to download and play it.

Method 3: Use a third-party service

  1. Sign up for a service like WeTransfer or File.io, which allows you to upload and share files, including videos.
  2. Forward the email with the video attachment to your WeTransfer or File.io account.
  3. Once uploaded, you can play the video directly from the service's website.

Method 4: Use Gmail's "Insert from URL" feature

  1. Open the email with the video link.
  2. Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the email.
  3. Select "Insert from URL" from the dropdown menu.
  4. Enter the video URL in the pop-up window.
  5. Click "Insert" to embed the video in the email.

Please note that not all video formats are supported by Gmail, and some videos may not play due to compatibility issues.
