How to play video from mails in gmail
Gmail doesn't have a built-in feature to play videos directly from the email. However, there are a few workarounds to play videos sent to you via email:
Method 1: Download and play the video
- Open the email with the video attachment.
- Click on the attachment to download it to your computer.
- Once downloaded, you can play the video using a media player like VLC, QuickTime, or Windows Media Player.
Method 2: Use a browser extension
- Install a browser extension like Video Downloader Professional (for Chrome) or Video Downloader (for Firefox).
- Open the email with the video attachment.
- Click on the extension's icon in your browser toolbar.
- Select the video attachment to download and play it.
Method 3: Use a third-party service
- Sign up for a service like WeTransfer or File.io, which allows you to upload and share files, including videos.
- Forward the email with the video attachment to your WeTransfer or File.io account.
- Once uploaded, you can play the video directly from the service's website.
Method 4: Use Gmail's "Insert from URL" feature
- Open the email with the video link.
- Click on the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the email.
- Select "Insert from URL" from the dropdown menu.
- Enter the video URL in the pop-up window.
- Click "Insert" to embed the video in the email.
Please note that not all video formats are supported by Gmail, and some videos may not play due to compatibility issues.
