How to read emails in plain text ios mail app

The iOS Mail app does not have a built-in option to view emails in plain text. However, you can use a workaround to view the plain text version of an email:

Method 1: Use the "View Source" feature

  1. Open the email you want to view in plain text.
  2. Tap the "..." icon (three dots) at the top right corner of the screen.
  3. Tap "View Source" (this option might be hidden under the "More" menu on older iOS versions).
  4. The email will be displayed in a plain text format, without any HTML formatting.

Method 2: Use a third-party email client

  1. Install a third-party email client that supports plain text viewing, such as:
    • Spark Mail
    • Microsoft Outlook
    • Airmail
    • ProtonMail
  2. Set up your email account in the third-party client.
  3. Open the email you want to view in plain text.
  4. The email client should display the email in plain text format.

Method 3: Use a browser

  1. Open a web browser on your iOS device (e.g., Safari).
  2. Go to the email provider's website (e.g., Gmail, Yahoo Mail, etc.).
  3. Log in to your email account.
  4. Find the email you want to view in plain text.
  5. Click on the email to open it in the browser.
  6. The email should be displayed in plain text format.

Note that some email providers may not support plain text viewing for all emails, especially if they use HTML formatting or attachments.
