How to recall an email from mac mail

To recall an email on a Mac using Mail, you can follow these steps:

Method 1: Using the "Undo Send" feature

  1. Open Mail on your Mac.
  2. Go to the "Mail" menu and select "Undo Send" (or use the keyboard shortcut Command + Z).
  3. If the email has not been sent yet, you will see a "Cancel" button. Click on it to cancel the sending of the email.
  4. If the email has already been sent, you will see a "Cannot undo send" message.

Method 2: Using the "Recall" feature

  1. Open Mail on your Mac.
  2. Go to the "Mail" menu and select "Recall" (or use the keyboard shortcut Command + Shift + R).
  3. Select the email you want to recall from the list of sent emails.
  4. Click on the "Recall" button to send a recall request to the recipient.
  5. The recipient will receive a notification that you are trying to recall the email, and they will have the option to accept or decline the recall.

Method 3: Using the "Edit" feature

  1. Open Mail on your Mac.
  2. Go to the "Edit" menu and select "Edit" (or use the keyboard shortcut Command + E).
  3. Select the email you want to recall from the list of sent emails.
  4. Click on the "Edit" button to open the email in the editor.
  5. Make any necessary changes to the email.
  6. Click on the "Send" button to send the revised email.

Note: The "Recall" feature is only available if the recipient has not yet read the email. If the recipient has already read the email, you will not be able to recall it.

Also, keep in mind that recalling an email is not always possible, and it's not a foolproof method. The recipient may still have a copy of the original email, and it's possible that they may not receive the recall request.
