How to recall email in outlook app
To recall an email in the Outlook app, follow these steps:
Method 1: Using the "Recall This Message" feature
- Open the Outlook app and go to the "Inbox" folder.
- Find the email you want to recall and swipe left on it.
- Tap "More" and then "Recall This Message".
- Select the reason for recalling the email (e.g., "The message was sent in error").
- Choose whether you want to delete the email from the recipient's mailbox or replace it with a new message.
- Tap "Recall" to send the recall request.
Method 2: Using the "Edit & Resend" feature
- Open the Outlook app and go to the "Inbox" folder.
- Find the email you want to recall and swipe left on it.
- Tap "More" and then "Edit & Resend".
- Make the necessary changes to the email (e.g., delete the original message and replace it with a new one).
- Tap "Send" to send the revised email.
Important notes:
- The "Recall This Message" feature only works if the recipient has not yet opened the email.
- The "Edit & Resend" feature allows you to make changes to the email, but it will not delete the original message from the recipient's mailbox.
- If you're using Outlook.com, you can also use the "Undo Send" feature to recall an email within a certain time frame (usually 30 minutes).
