How to recall mail in gmail mobile
To recall an email in Gmail on your mobile device, follow these steps:
Method 1: Using the "Undo Send" feature
- Open the Gmail app on your mobile device.
- Go to the "Sent" folder and find the email you want to recall.
- Tap on the email to open it.
- Tap the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the screen.
- Tap "Undo" (if the "Undo Send" feature is enabled). This will recall the email and remove it from the recipient's inbox.
Method 2: Using the "Unsend" feature (Gmail 8.0 and later)
- Open the Gmail app on your mobile device.
- Go to the "Sent" folder and find the email you want to recall.
- Tap on the email to open it.
- Tap the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the screen.
- Tap "Unsend" (if the "Unsend" feature is enabled). This will recall the email and remove it from the recipient's inbox.
Note: The "Undo Send" and "Unsend" features are only available for a short period of time after sending an email, typically 5-30 seconds. If you try to recall an email after this time period, it will not be possible.
Method 3: Using the "Report spam" feature (as a last resort)
- Open the Gmail app on your mobile device.
- Go to the "Sent" folder and find the email you want to recall.
- Tap on the email to open it.
- Tap the three vertical dots at the top right corner of the screen.
- Tap "Report spam". This will mark the email as spam and remove it from the recipient's inbox. However, this method is not a true recall and may not be effective in all cases.
Remember that recalling an email is not always possible, and it's always a good idea to double-check your emails before sending them to ensure they are accurate and complete.
