How to recall mail in live.com
To recall an email in Outlook.com (formerly known as Hotmail), you can follow these steps:
Method 1: Using the "Recall This Message" feature
- Log in to your Outlook.com account and go to the Inbox.
- Find the email you want to recall and click on it to open it.
- Click on the three dots at the top right corner of the email and select "More" from the dropdown menu.
- Click on "Recall This Message" from the dropdown menu.
- In the "Recall This Message" window, select the reason for recalling the message (e.g., "I sent it to the wrong person" or "I made a mistake").
- Click "Recall" to send a recall request to the recipient.
Method 2: Using the "Undo Send" feature
- Log in to your Outlook.com account and go to the Sent folder.
- Find the email you want to recall and click on it to open it.
- Click on the three dots at the top right corner of the email and select "More" from the dropdown menu.
- Click on "Undo Send" from the dropdown menu.
- In the "Undo Send" window, select the reason for undoing the send (e.g., "I made a mistake" or "I sent it to the wrong person").
- Click "Undo" to undo the send and recall the email.
Important notes:
- The "Recall This Message" feature only works if the recipient has not yet opened the email.
- The "Undo Send" feature only works for a short period of time after sending the email (usually 30 seconds).
- If the recipient has already opened the email, you will not be able to recall it.
- If you are using Outlook.com on a mobile device, the recall features may not be available.
