How to recall mail in lotus notes

In Lotus Notes, you can recall a sent email by using the "Recall" feature. Here are the steps:

Method 1: Recall a sent email from the Sent folder

  1. Open Lotus Notes and go to the Sent folder.
  2. Find the email you want to recall and click on it to open it.
  3. Click on the "Actions" menu and select "Recall" (or press Ctrl+R).
  4. In the "Recall" dialog box, select the reason for recalling the email (e.g., "I sent it to the wrong person" or "I made a mistake in the content").
  5. Click "OK" to recall the email.

Method 2: Recall a sent email from the Inbox

  1. Open Lotus Notes and go to the Inbox.

Method 3: Recall a sent email using the "Recall" button in the email composition window

  1. Open Lotus Notes and compose a new email.
  2. In the "To" field, enter the email address of the recipient who received the email you want to recall.
  3. Click on the "Recall" button in the email composition window (it looks like a red circle with a white arrow pointing backwards).
  4. In the "Recall" dialog box, select the reason for recalling the email (e.g., "I sent it to the wrong person" or "I made a mistake in the content").
  5. Click "OK" to recall the email.

Note: The "Recall" feature only works if the recipient has not yet read the email or has not deleted it from their mailbox. If the recipient has already read or deleted the email, it cannot be recalled.

Also, keep in mind that recalling an email does not guarantee that the recipient will not have seen the email or that it will be deleted from their mailbox. It's always a good idea to double-check with the recipient to confirm that the email has been successfully recalled.
