How to recall send mail of gmail
To recall a sent email in Gmail, you can use the "Undo Send" feature, which allows you to retract an email within a certain time frame after sending it. Here's how:
Method 1: Using the "Undo Send" feature
- Go to your Gmail account and click on the gear icon in the upper right corner.
- Select "See all settings" from the dropdown menu.
- Scroll down to the "General" tab.
- Look for the "Undo Send" section and toggle the switch to the "On" position.
- Set the "Undo Send" time limit to the desired amount of time (e.g., 5, 10, 15, or 30 seconds).
- Click "Save Changes" at the bottom of the page.
Now, when you send an email, you'll have the option to recall it within the set time frame. To do so:
- Go to your Gmail account and click on the "Sent" tab.
- Find the email you want to recall and click on the three vertical dots next to it.
- Select "Undo" from the dropdown menu.
- Confirm that you want to recall the email.
Method 2: Using the "Unsend" feature (only available on mobile devices)
- Open the Gmail app on your mobile device.
- Go to the "Sent" tab.
- Find the email you want to recall and swipe left on it.
- Tap "Unsend" from the menu that appears.
- Confirm that you want to recall the email.
Important notes:
- The "Undo Send" feature only works if you've enabled it in your settings and if you've set a time limit for it.
- The feature only works for emails sent within the set time frame. If you've sent an email and then closed your browser or app, you won't be able to recall it.
- The "Unsend" feature on mobile devices only works for emails sent within the last 5 seconds.
- Recalling an email doesn't guarantee that the recipient won't have seen it or taken any action on it. It's always a good idea to double-check your emails before sending them.
