How to recieve mail while app not opened mac

On a Mac, you can receive notifications and access your mail even when the Mail app is not opened. Here are a few ways to do so:

  1. Notification Center: You can enable notifications for the Mail app in Notification Center. To do this:
    • Go to System Preferences > Notifications.
    • Click on the "Mail" app in the left sidebar.
    • Check the box next to "Show notifications" and choose how you want to be notified (e.g., "Alerts" or "Banners").
  2. Notification Center widgets: You can also add a Mail widget to Notification Center to quickly access your mail. To do this:
    • Go to System Preferences > Notifications.
    • Click on the "Widgets" tab.
    • Drag the "Mail" widget to the Notification Center panel.
  3. Spotlight search: You can use Spotlight search to quickly access your mail even when the Mail app is not opened. To do this:
    • Press Command + Space to open Spotlight search.
    • Type "mail" and press Enter to open the Mail app.
  4. Dock icon: If you have the Mail app icon in your Dock, you can click on it to open the app and access your mail.
  5. Notification Center alerts: If you receive a new email, you'll see a notification in Notification Center. You can click on the notification to open the Mail app and read your email.
  6. Siri: If you have Siri enabled on your Mac, you can use voice commands to access your mail. For example, you can say "Hey Siri, read my email" to open the Mail app and access your inbox.

By enabling notifications and using these methods, you can receive and access your mail even when the Mail app is not opened on your Mac.
