How to remove a mail id from gmail app

To remove a mail ID from the Gmail app on your Android device or iOS device, follow these steps:

Method 1: Remove account from Gmail app settings

  1. Open the Gmail app on your device.
  2. Tap the three horizontal lines (menu icon) on the top left corner of the screen.
  3. Tap on "Settings" (or "Manage accounts" on some devices).
  4. Scroll down to the account you want to remove and tap on it.
  5. Tap on "Remove account" or "Remove" (depending on your device).
  6. Confirm that you want to remove the account by tapping "OK" or "Remove account" again.

Method 2: Remove account from device settings

  1. Go to your device's settings app.
  2. Scroll down and select "Accounts" or "Google" (depending on your device).
  3. Find the account you want to remove and tap on it.
  4. Tap on "Remove account" or "Remove" (depending on your device).
  5. Confirm that you want to remove the account by tapping "OK" or "Remove account" again.

Method 3: Remove account from Google account settings

  1. Open the Google account settings page on your device's web browser.
  2. Sign in with your Google account credentials.
  3. Scroll down to the "Account" section.
  4. Click on "Remove account" or "Delete account" (depending on your device).
  5. Confirm that you want to remove the account by clicking "OK" or "Delete account" again.

Note: Removing an account from the Gmail app or device settings will not delete the account entirely. It will only remove the account from the Gmail app and your device. If you want to delete the account entirely, you will need to go to the Google account settings page and follow the instructions to delete the account.

Also, if you have multiple accounts linked to the same Google account, removing one account will not affect the others.
