How to remove an account from apple mail
To remove an account from Apple Mail on your Mac or iOS device, follow these steps:
On a Mac:
- Open Apple Mail.
- Click on "Mail" in the top menu bar and select "Preferences" (or use the keyboard shortcut Command + comma).
- Click on the "Accounts" tab.
- Select the account you want to remove from the list of accounts on the left side of the window.
- Click the "minus sign" (-) button at the bottom of the window to remove the account.
- Click "Remove" to confirm.
On an iOS device:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap on "Mail, Contacts, Calendars".
- Find the account you want to remove and swipe left on it.
- Tap the "Delete Account" button.
- Tap "Delete" to confirm.
On an iPad or iPod touch:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap on "Mail, Contacts, Calendars".
- Tap on the account you want to remove.
- Tap the "Delete Account" button.

Note: If you're using an Exchange account, you may need to remove the account from the Exchange server settings as well. To do this:
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap on "Mail, Contacts, Calendars".
- Tap on the account you want to remove.
- Tap "Account Info".
- Tap "Remove from My Exchange Server".
- Tap "Remove" to confirm.
After removing an account from Apple Mail, you may need to reconfigure any email clients or apps that were using that account.
