How to remove mac mail storage

The pesky Mail storage issue on Mac!

Removing Mail storage on a Mac can be a bit tricky, but I'll guide you through the process. Before we begin, please note that this will delete all your emails, contacts, and other data stored in Mail. Make sure you have backed up your important data elsewhere.

Method 1: Delete Mail Storage using the Mail app

Method 3: Delete Mail Storage using the Finder

  1. Open the Finder on your Mac.
  2. Navigate to the following folder: ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData
  3. Delete the entire "MailData" folder and its contents.

Additional steps

After removing Mail storage, you may need to:

  1. Re-import your email accounts: Go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts, and re-add your email accounts.
  2. Re-sync your contacts: Go to Mail > Preferences > Accounts > [Your Account] > Advanced, and re-sync your contacts.
