How to retrieve mails deleted from trash in gmail

The frustration of accidentally deleting an important email!

Unfortunately, Gmail doesn't have a built-in feature to retrieve deleted emails from the Trash folder. However, there are a few workarounds to try and recover your deleted emails:

Method 1: Check the Trash folder regularly

If you regularly check your Trash folder, you might be able to recover your deleted email before it's permanently deleted. Gmail usually keeps deleted emails in the Trash folder for 30 days before they're permanently deleted.

Method 2: Use Gmail's "Undo Send" feature

If you enabled the "Undo Send" feature in your Gmail settings, you might be able to recover your deleted email. This feature allows you to retract an email within a short period (usually 5-30 seconds) after sending it. To enable "Undo Send," follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Gmail settings (gear icon).
  2. Click on "See all settings."
  3. Scroll down to the "General" tab.
  4. Look for the "Undo Send" option and toggle it on.

Method 3: Use a third-party email recovery tool

There are several third-party email recovery tools available that claim to recover deleted emails from Gmail. Some popular options include:

  1. Email Recovery Tool (ERT) by Gmail Recovery
  2. Gmail Recovery Tool by Recover My Email
  3. Email Recovery by EaseUS

Please note that these tools may not always work, and there's no guarantee that you'll be able to recover your deleted email. Additionally, some of these tools may require you to provide your Gmail login credentials, so be cautious when using them.

Method 4: Contact Gmail support

If none of the above methods work, you can try contacting Gmail support to see if they can help you recover your deleted email. They may be able to assist you in recovering your email if it was deleted recently.

To contact Gmail support, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click on the gear icon and select "See all settings."
  3. Scroll down to the "Accounts and Import" tab.
  4. Click on "Contact us" at the bottom of the page.
  5. Fill out the contact form and explain your situation.

Remember to always be cautious when deleting emails, and consider using the "Undo Send" feature or setting up a backup system to prevent data loss in the future.
