How to revert back to old yahoo mail

Nostalgia! Unfortunately, Yahoo Mail has undergone several redesigns and updates over the years, and it's not possible to revert back to the exact old version. However, you can try some workarounds to get a similar experience:

  1. Classic Yahoo Mail: Yahoo offers a "Classic" version of their mail service, which is a simplified version of the old interface. To access it:
    • Log in to your Yahoo Mail account.
    • Click on the gear icon () in the top right corner.
    • Select "Switch to Classic Mail" from the dropdown menu.
    • Confirm that you want to switch to the Classic version.
  2. Yahoo Mail Beta: Yahoo has a beta version of their mail service, which is a testing ground for new features and designs. The beta version is more similar to the old Yahoo Mail interface. To access it:
    • Log in to your Yahoo Mail account.
    • Click on the gear icon () in the top right corner.
    • Select "Try the new Yahoo Mail beta" from the dropdown menu.
    • Confirm that you want to try the beta version.
  3. Third-party email clients: You can use third-party email clients like Mozilla Thunderbird, Microsoft Outlook, or Apple Mail to access your Yahoo Mail account. These clients often offer a more traditional email experience. You can set up your Yahoo Mail account in these clients by following their respective setup guides.
  4. Customize your Yahoo Mail: While you can't revert back to the exact old version, you can customize your Yahoo Mail experience to make it more similar to the old interface. You can:
    • Turn off the new features and designs by clicking on the gear icon () and selecting "Settings" > "General" > "Turn off new features".
    • Change the layout and design by clicking on the gear icon () and selecting "Settings" > "General" > "Customize your layout".
    • Use a browser extension like "Yahoo Mail Classic" or "Old Yahoo Mail" to restore some of the old features and design elements.

Keep in mind that these workarounds may not provide an exact replica of the old Yahoo Mail experience, but they can help you get closer to it.
