How to revert mail in outlook 365
Reverting an email in Outlook 365 is a bit tricky, but it's possible. Here are the steps:
Method 1: Using the "Undo Send" feature
- Go to the "Sent Items" folder in your Outlook 365 inbox.
- Find the email you want to revert and right-click on it.
- Select "Undo Send" from the context menu.
- If the email has been sent within the last 30 seconds, you should see a prompt asking if you want to undo the send. Click "Yes" to revert the email.
Method 2: Using the "Recall" feature
- Go to the "Sent Items" folder in your Outlook 365 inbox.
- Find the email you want to revert and right-click on it.
- Select "Recall This Message" from the context menu.
- In the "Recall This Message" dialog box, select the option "Delete unread copies of this message" and click "OK".
- The email will be recalled, and any recipients who have already read the email will receive a notification that the message has been recalled.
Method 3: Using the "Move to Folder" feature
- Go to the "Sent Items" folder in your Outlook 365 inbox.
- Find the email you want to revert and drag it to the "Drafts" folder.
- Right-click on the email in the "Drafts" folder and select "Move to Folder" > "Sent Items".
- The email will be moved back to the "Sent Items" folder, effectively reverting the send.
Important notes:
- The "Undo Send" feature only works if the email has been sent within the last 30 seconds.
- The "Recall" feature only works if the email has been sent to recipients who have not yet read the email.
- Reverting an email may not always be possible, especially if the email has been read or replied to by the recipient.
- If you're trying to revert an email that was sent to multiple recipients, you may need to use the "Recall" feature to recall the email from each recipient individually.
